"How you found my LJ" Okay...I found your LJ through the Daniel_Daily community.
"Give a valid reason why I should add you." Um...I love Stargate, I love stargate screencaptures/wallpapers/pretties, you seem to have many pretties on this LJ that relate to Stargate, I want to see the pretties.....um...am I doing this right? Is this how you "friend" someone??? I have no idea what I'm doing... *scratching head in corner and waiting for a reply*

I don't have tons of pretties, usually, but they do occasionally show up. Most of this is about what's going on in my life, though I try not to post unless it's something amusing, confusing, or annoying me. I post a fair bit of Stargate fanfic (I'm in a weekly challenge group, so at least one short fic per week), and sometimes fanart but not very often. If you're not interested in my life, and would rather read fic, I suggest friending my ael_muses account instead (I swear I will update it someday soon). If you'd rather know all my deep dark secrets, in addition to the shiny, I'd be glad to add you. ;) Just let me know.

I see by a visit to your LJ that you've had one for awhile, but rarely post, so I'll try to explain friending. When you friend somebody, you go into their user info and click on the first icon (the little blue guy with the plus sign), then follow the instructions if any. This lets them read your entries that you designate friends-only (which is an option every time you update), and lets you read their friends-only entries (but only if they friend you back, I think). All my entries are friends-locked, which is why you can only see this one entry out of 400+.

No, not really, but they won't bother me, and I promise not to blackmail you if you decide I'm worth the time to..."friend"? Sorry, very confusing. I am very interested in the "shiny"! And, you seem nice...this must be rather freaky, you don't have any idea who I am..............hm.......must now go read all the instructions on everything about/relating to LJ.
I've previously been too shy to friend anyone...so, sorry for using you as a guinea pig. You're probably really annoyed by now. Shutting up.

No, don't worry, I'm not annoyed. ;) Sometimes talking to total strangers is the only way to meet new people, so I've gotten over the slight weirdness. And if I ever did friend someone that tried to blackmail me, I could always unfriend them and then they couldn't see my entries anymore. So really, I'm not too worried about it.

Just for future reference, when replying to a comment, there's a little link in the comment's box that says "Reply" rather than "Post a comment" at the top of bottom, since that just adds it to the original post rather than the comment. It's not necessary if the comment is from the person who originally posted the message, but in some cases it might make more sense. (Like if thirty other people commented between those, so you'd have to scroll way down for the other part of the conversation.) Since this was not the case here, it's fine.

Think your stuff is cool, although I am not going to request you for a friend until I at least talk/write(?) with you. Besides, it's kinda weird when someone friends you and you don't know them.

Been all right, I suppose. Got a job, going to college, my mom's got cancer and my grandma got married, so it's a bit of a mix. Not doing fanfic as much these days, although there is a little - it's mostly online RPs and playing (single player) videogames nowadays.
